Wizard-Driven Solution Cited for Affordability, Scalability and Ease of Use

ANN ARBOR, MI - January 11, 2005 - LucidLinkTM Wireless Security, Interlink Networks' plug-and-play Wi-Fi security software for businesses with three to 250 wireless users, has been honored as CRN magazine's Product of the Year in the wireless solution category. LucidLink joins 11 other products recognized as 2004 CRN Test Center Products of the Year for their value to end users as well as their business value to VARs and technology integrators.

"Interlink Networks' LucidLink wireless security software wins top honors from CRN Test Center engineers not only because it's affordable and scalable, but because it's extremely easy to use and manage," the publication said in its announcement. "LucidLink offers great opportunities for solution providers as an add-on sale for new wireless installations and can also complement security offerings such as VPNs, firewalls and antivirus."

CRN's review earlier in the year noted that LucidLink enables solution providers to set up a secure wireless network in less than 15 minutes and concluded that "The product eliminates any excuses for not securing a WLAN."

The CRN award was LucidLink's second industry accolade in three weeks. In early December, LucidLink became the first product to earn two consecutive 'Best in Show' awards from the Wi-Fi Planet Conference & Expo, the world's largest business event dedicated to Wi-Fi technology.

The awards from both organizations reflect LucidLink's status as the first 802.11 WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) solution to reduce Wi-Fi setup, security and maintenance to a few steps that can be handled even by non-technical users. LucidLink Wireless Security costs $449 for a 10-user license and scales to 250 users. The product is also available in a LucidLink Home Office Edition priced at $99 for three users.
